Getting started

Before you log on:

• You require a copy of your South East Water account to obtain your Customer Account Number.
• Your Customer Account Number will act as your Username to log on to waterMAP.
• Your Password will be emailed to you.  Alternatively you can call your Key customer Manager to obtain the password.

When you log on for the first time:

• The first time you log on to waterMAP you will be required to change your password.
• Once you have successfully changed your password you will be directed to the Registration screen. Where possible the details we have on file will populate the registration form. Please make any necessary amendments. Even if you have previously registered you are required to go through this process. The details you enter here will automatically populate in the waterMAP so you will not have to re-enter this information again.
• When you have submitted your registration click on the waterMAP button and you can commence entering the information for your 2008/09 waterMAP.

WaterMAP system:

• WaterMAP is divided into different sections, for example Section 2 is company and site information, and Section 6 is the Action plan.
• If a required field is not completed, an on screen message will display once you have pressed the submit button.  The on screen message will explain what fields need amendment.
• You can save your work by clicking the “Save”, “Submit” or “Log out & save” button.
• Throughout the waterMAP there are opportunities for you to provide additional information. For example you may wish to explain your company’s environment policy.  Many of these boxes are located in the earlier sections.  Completion of some of these boxes is optional.  The boxes have been provided to enable you to provide the most complete and appropriate information. 
• You have the option to generate and save PDF files that have been created. Once you have submitted sections of your waterMAP you can choose to view pdf files.
• If there are additional documents that you would like to submit with your waterMAP such as copies of site water audits please email them to your Key Customer Manager.

Privacy

In accordance with Privacy legislation we advise you that the information collected for waterMAPs will be used by South East Water to process waterMAP’s and oversee their implementation. The information may be used by South East Water to provide you with information about services and products and disclosed in an aggregate form to the Department of Sustainability and Environment or the Minister for Water on matters relating to the waterMAP program.

This information may be disclosed to the relevant government agencies if required by law. You may gain access to the information South East Water has about you by contacting South East Water directly.
