Class C recycled water is a great solution for businesses or organisations with irrigation needs who are remote from a recycled water pipeline.
Class C recycled water is not subject to water restrictions however it is a precious resource that should not be wasted.
What is Class C recycled water?
Recycled water is treated effluent. There are various ‘classes’ of recycled water. Class C is restricted in its use and can only be used under strict controls. It is not suitable for any personal purposes including drinking and bathing and cannot be used in residential settings.
How is it delivered?
There are two options:
1. South East Water will deliver the water directly to the customer.
2. The water can be collected by the customer in a tanker that will hold a minimum of 10 kilolitres (kl) of water. Customers must engage a tankering service that is inspected and accredited by South East Water.
What are the guidelines for use of recycled water?
Before you can order Class C recycled water there are important steps that must be taken for health and safety reasons. These have been developed in conjunction with the Environment Protection Authority (EPA). South East Water will only supply customers who fulfill all controls.
Step 1: Call South East Water for an initial inquiry on 131 694
Step 2: If appropriate we will send a Customer Service Agreement form
Step 3: EPA guidelines are supplied and a site assessment visit may need to be arranged
Step 4: If the site and conditions are suitable the Customer Service Agreement is signed and arrangements are made for delivery

- $200 administration charge
- $0.05 cents per kl private use
