Water prices and charges

From the 1 July 2008 your water and sewage charges will increase by 19.67 per cent, which includes Consumer Price Index (CPI). 

 

The average residential customer bill will increase by about $2.00 per week or less than 30 cents per day.

 

The increase in water and sewage prices will help fund the Victorian Government's $4.9 billion Water Plan.

 

The new prices for water and sewage are:

 

Residential Properties 

 

Current Price (from 01/07/08)

 

 Water Usage    
 Up to 440 litres per day $1.0052 per kilolitre
 Between 440 - 880 litres per day $1.2206 per kilolitre
 Over 880 litres per day $1.9745 per kilolitre
 Sewage Disposal (cents per 1000 litres) $1.2565 per kilolitre
 Quarterly Water Services $14.24 per quarter
 Quarterly Sewerage Services $48.16 per quarter
