WaterAid Australia
Every month 200,000 people, many of whom are children, die from easily preventable water related diseases. At any given moment, almost half of the world’s poor are sick from unsafe water and sanitation.
WaterAid Australia is a non profit organisation dedicated to ensure that the world’s poorest people have access to safe drinking water and effective sanitation.
WaterAid works by helping local organisations set up low cost, sustainable projects using appropriate technology that can be managed by the community itself.
Clean water is essential for life, but over a billion people do not have it. Help more people gain access to safe water and sanitation by supporting WaterAid and making a donation.

South East Water recycles the old showerheads from our showerhead exchange program and contributes those funds to WaterAid, and the staff raise funds throughout the year by holding bbq's, dress down days and volunteering and participating in WaterAid events.
South East Water is one of the co-hosts of the WaterAid Australia Ball, along with Melbourne Water and Yarra Valley Water. This prestigious event is held annually in an effort to raise additional donations - last year over $270,000 was raised on the night. Save the date for the 2010 WaterAid Ball - 6 November 2010
