South East Water’s Community Investment Program
South East Water is in an excellent position to influence the manner in which its local community uses water. A strong approach to community investment can help us to better understand and work with our customers and community. It will also help us drive a sustainable approach to water conservation and earn trust and foster deep, mutually beneficial partnerships with the community in which we operate.
What is Community Investment?
Community investment is a term that describes sponsorships, partnerships, donations and in-kind support. The term ‘investment’ implies that we seek some kind of rate of return on our investment in the community. Community investment is about fostering deep, mutually beneficial partnerships for the long term, with a focus on the ‘benefits’ as well as ‘outcomes’.
The key beneficiaries of such investment are communities. South East Water will also benefit from effective community investment through greater community goodwill and stronger, more stable and supportive communities.
What we focus on
South East Water will only support programs/partnerships that seek to achieve one or more of the focus areas and deliver the outcomes as identified in the below table.
