Hydration Station


	What is the Hydration Station? The Hydration Station is an exciting concept (pioneered by South East Water) that supplies drinking water to local community events and activities in the form of a mobile trailer. The Hydration Station is suitable for a wide range of events (indoor and outdoor) and is a great way to ensure that visitors are well hydrated and refreshed. For events that meet our Hydration Station criteria, South East Water will happily consider donating the use of the Hydration Station free of charge; however in instances where events are not suitable it may be possible to hire the station for a fee. (Please note that in instances where we donate the use of the hydration station and it is required for multiple day events, a fee of $100 GST inclusive may be required for each subsequent day). How does it work? The Hydration Station is a mobile water trailer that can be delivered to events and festivals. Once on site, our service representatives will connect the trailer to the water main. What are the features? The Hydration Station features include: Two stainless steel troughs on both sides of the trailer Eight drinking taps Eight tap outlets for filling drinking bottles Mobility to position the station in the best possible location The ability to be connected into mains pressure or into a storage supply Self-contained lighting for use at night. Is the Hydration Station suitable for every event? The Hydration Station is suitable for most events, which includes: Concerts Community festivals Sporting events Fun runs Days of national/state significance Beach events Exhibitions, fairs, shows Private functions How can I apply for the Hydration Station? The Hydration Station can be supplied as an in-kind donation for events/partnerships that meet our criteria. Hydration Station Criteria When applying for the Hydration Station it’s important that your event/activity addresses our criteria. Applications for events that have an environmental focus will be looked upon in high regard. Companies/Orgainsations must submit their application at least three months prior to the event/activity taking place. The criteria for Hydration Station proposal requests are: Is the event in South East Water’s area? What is the timing and duration of the event? What are the starting and finishing times of the event? What are the promotional opportunities and benefits for South East Water? Does the event have an environmental focus? Ineligible Opportunities South East Water will not consider provision of the Hydration Station for: Events/Activities that fall outside South East water’s licensed boundary area. Events/Activities that have less than 1000 people in attendance. Events/Activities that run more than three days Events/Activities that run for a duration of less than four hours. Events/Activities which can discriminate against any person/s, orgainsations or groups. Events/Activities that conflict with the Water Industry and Government Policy. Political Parties, lobby groupings. Requests that benefit an individual person or family. The orgainsation has products or services that are harmful to the environment. Event’s/Programs that create environmental hazards. Events/Activities that result in the likelihood of damage being caused to the trailer. These include: raves, outside/indoor dance festivals and dance parties. Commercial events. Each application will be acknowledged. Successful applications will be notified no later than three weeks after the review. All decisons regarding the Hydration Station will be made at South East Water's descretion. Successful applicants will also be expected to sign a formal letter of agreement.
