Search - JavaScript is required to capture the text entered in the Search box at the top of this page, passing it as a parameter to the search results page. For example, /search/pages/results.aspx?k=water will search for content related to water.

YouTube/Flash Components - JavaScript is used to determine if the Adobe Flash plug-in is currently installed within your brower, which is required in order for YouTube videos to play. If this JavaScript code cannot be executed, it is assumed that you do not have the plug-in installed. Therefore in places where YouTube video would normally be displayed, you will see the 'Get Adobe Flash Player' image.
