When it comes to saving water, our most precious natural resource, everyone needs to get involved. That’s why at South East Water we have a team of passionate speakers ready to share their knowledge and expertise on how you can contribute to a more sustainable water future. South East Water Community Presentations can cover a range of topics including;
Presentations are ideal for groups of 15 - 60 people. From Rotary clubs and gardening groups to TAFE classes and neighbourhood organisations, a South East Water Community Presentation has something to offer everyone. And best of all, it’s free.
Through our partnership with AMES we recently delivered a community presentation at the AMES Women’s Refugee Retreat.
The three day retreat helps to equip women with information they need to build their new lives in Australia. The retreat included a range of information sessions including a session on water. South East Water had the opportunity to speak to over 90 women about why water is such a precious resource in Australia and why we all need to use water wisely. We also provided some practical information on saving water in the home, understanding their water bill and South East Water Assist, a financial support program available to customers if they are having trouble paying their bill.
Our partnership with AMES enables us to raise awareness about water conservation among recently arrived migrant and refugee communities and the retreat was an excellent opportunity to start the conversation about what we can all do to save water.
