WaterSmart Behavioural Change Program
Background Information
South East Water has been recruited to co-manage a behavioural change program initiated by the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE). It is delivered as a 'Our Water Our Future' initiative.
The Watersmart Behavioural Change Program is a one year direct customer marketing initiative initiated by DSE. Six water authorities are involved including the three metropolitan retail companies (Yarra Valley Water Limited, City West Water Limited, South East Water Limited) and three regional water corporations (Coliban Region Water Corporation, Central Highlands Region Water Corporation and Barwon Region Water Corporation).
Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) has been awarded the tender to deliver this project on behalf of DSE and the metropolitan water authorities.
As part of this project, South East Water will target approximately 40,000 households to participate in the program of which 4,000 will be treated as a control group. Customers targeted in this campaign will receive the following letter.
Program Partner
Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM). SKM will be responsible for contacting all targeted South East Water customers in this program. SKM are independent environmental experts and social researchers who are passionate about creating sustainable communities and helping people to make water saving easy.
